What to Consider When Planning Their Big Day
Your child’s birthday only comes around once a year. It’s a day that’s all about them, and they deserve to feel special. And, what better way to show them how much they mean to you than by throwing an unforgettable birthday party?
If the idea of planning a celebration is filling you with dread, this checklist will help. As party planning pros, we’ve created an essential birthday party checklist that will make this year’s planning process a breeze.
The Official Urban Air Birthday Party Checklist
Even though the Urban Air party planning team is here to make sure your kid’s big day goes off without a hitch, we have a few additional recommendations.
Pick a Date & Schedule the Party
The first thing you want to do is secure a date for your child’s party at your local Urban Air adventure park. The sooner you can secure a date, the better. This will ensure the party is as close to your child’s actual birthday as possible. You can check available dates and book your party online, or you can call the Birthday Hotline at 800-960-4778.
Create a Guest List & Send the Invites
Now that you have a date, you can decide who to invite. This is something you can do with your child, giving them the chance to provide their input.
And, if you don’t have time to create your own invites, we have several digital invite templates available that you can personalize and download. We recommend sending your invites at least 2 – 3 weeks in advance to ensure everyone can make the celebrations.
Decide on Extra Kids Birthday Party Decorations
When you choose to host a party at Urban Air, there isn’t much you need to bring in terms of paper goods and kid’s party decorations.
We’ll provide kids party supplies such as plates, cups, tablecloths, and even party hats. However, some parents like to add some personalized touches, so you may want to bring some extra balloons or party favors along with you.
Some of the extra birthday party things that you can purchase from most Urban Air locations include socks, bracelets, drawstring bags, t-shirts, and hats. Each of our adventure parks offers different add-ons, though, so be sure to check what’s available at your preferred location.
Order the Cake
No kid’s birthday party is complete without a delicious cake – cupcakes are another fan favorite! This is another order you want to place in advance. That way, you know your cake will arrive on time on the day. Unfortunately, Urban Air doesn’t provide cakes, so this will need to come from an external provider.
We do, however, offer some other extra treats and pizzas that you can order and add to the mix to keep everyone’s bellies more than happy.
Simply email your food order to the party email in your invoice along with your name, order number, and park location. We will need your final order by 5pm the Thursday prior to your party or the date specified in your invoice.
Sign Your Urban Air Waivers in Advance
Each of your guests will need to sign an Urban Air birthday party waiver. To save some time on the day and ensure everyone can start having fun as soon as possible, encourage your guests to sign their waivers ahead of time. Your party planning pro will explain the rest of the Urban Air birthday party rules to you and your guests when you arrive.
How Long are Urban Air Birthday Parties?
Your Urban Air party package comes with a 2-hour room or table rental. Private party rooms are also available at some locations.
You and your guests will have access to your table or room for 2 hours. However, everyone is welcome to stay and play for as long as they would like. Convincing your kids to go home is going to be the bigger challenge.
